Founder passionate about empowering women and fostering a supportive community.
Girl, God Got Us Inc. is committed to restoring dignity, healing, and hope in the lives of women facing hardship, transition, and emotional distress. Through our programs, we provide essential resources, safe spaces for healing, and faith-based support that empowers women to rebuild their lives and rediscover their worth.
Our work addresses critical gaps in access to hygiene products, mental health support, and community-based care—needs that disproportionately affect low-income women and underserved communities. By meeting both practical and emotional needs, we create a pathway for women to move from survival to stability, and from brokenness to wholeness.
Through initiatives like the Glow Bags Initiative, The Healing Room™, and Empowerment Workshops, we aim to serve over 100 women annually, distribute hundreds of hygiene kits, and provide ongoing support that fosters confidence, resilience, and long-term transformation.
We believe that when a woman is supported, she doesn’t just heal—she rises. And when she rises, her family, her community, and future generations rise with her.
Girl, God Got Us Inc. Nonprofit organization.
The decision to start "Girl, God Got Us Inc." was born out of a deep-seated desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women facing adversity. Having worked within the Department of Children and Families (DCF), I witnessed firsthand the struggles of single mothers striving to navigate life's challenges while shouldering immense responsibilities. As a single mother myself, I intimately understand the importance of community and support in overcoming obstacles.
Reflecting on these experiences, I recognized a critical need for comprehensive assistance that goes beyond mere words of encouragement. Many women, and by extension their families, grapple with hardships that could potentially be alleviated with the right support systems and resources in place. My vision for "Girl, God Got Us" is rooted in the belief that every woman deserves the opportunity to thrive and fulfill her potential.
By providing tangible resources, guidance, and a supportive community, our organization aims to empower women to overcome obstacles and become the best version of themselves. Through prayers, encouraging words, and practical assistance, we seek to uplift women and equip them with the tools they need to flourish.
Ultimately, my motivation for founding this nonprofit stems from a deep-seated commitment to improving the lives of women and their families. I envision a future where every woman feels empowered, supported, and capable of achieving her dreams. Together, through the collective efforts of our organization and the communities we serve, we strive to create a brighter, more hopeful tomorrow for women everywhere.
